I draw, and paint using acrylics .I photograph nature in all its manifestations from the most minute revelation to the grandest expansion of the universe. I write
poetry, essays, and political commentary.
I enjoy gardening and many of my pieces are directly influenced by my love of the natural world. I love children and create whimsical scenes to make them laugh. I love people, all people, and write essays exploring the human condition from my personal family experience to that of our larger human family. I try to encompass these stories in my visual art as well. Politics is as essential to me as breathing.
I was told I drew pictures before I could talk. I am not sure how far I have progressed but I am having fun.
I have been a college counselor, prison social worker, a toy store clerk, an attorney, and an associate professor of law, among other things. My grandparents were immigrants and that has influenced everything about me. I grew up surrounded my family and friends, painfully aware others were not so fortunate.
